TOWN AND COUNTRY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGERS PASS NATIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAM

Greenwood, SC (September 14, 2009)—Calhoun Mays, III and Wilson Bruce of Town and Country in Greenwood, SC have been named Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA) by the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM). They join more than 8,000 CMCA certificants nationwide who have demonstrated the professional knowledge that is important for managing condominium and homeowner associations and cooperatives.

Professional managers provide administrative, operational and managerial counsel to community association boards. They are responsible for managing budgets and contractors, directing association personnel, and overseeing compliance with association covenants and restrictions.

To obtain and maintain the CMCA credential, Mays and Bruce must complete comprehensive course work, pass a National Certification Examination, adhere to the CMCA Standards of Professional Conduct, and take continuing education courses to recertify.

NBC-cam is the first and only nationwide organization created solely to certify community association managers and to help consumers identify managers who have demonstrated fundamental competency and knowledge in this profession. With the dramatic increase in association-governed housing over the past 35 years, there is an expanded need for education in community association management.

rs

Greenwood, SC (August 27, 2009)-- Town and Construction of SC, Inc. is one of the nation's best full-service remodelers, according to a Remodeling magazine survey. Appearing for the first time in the publication, Town and Country was ranked 57out of 300 businesses under the full-service remodeler’s category on the magazine’s Remodeling 550 list.

The Remodeling 550 is a list of the largest remodeling and home improvement companies based on residential remodeling revenue. This information was collected from a survey jointly developed by Remodeling, its sister publication Replacement Contractor, and Specpan, a consultancy and business data collection provider in Indianapolis.

The survey took into account the diversity of these types of businesses by grouping them into four major categories: full-service, replacement or specialty, insurance restoration, and franchise. Each company is ranked by volume, except in the case of national franchise organizations.

The Remodeling 550 is the first list of home improvement companies since the magazine published the Remodeling 1,000 list in the 1990’s. Remodeling magazine plans to have the 550 list as an annual feature for the magazine.
